William M. Klein, M.D.

William M. Klein, M.D.

William Klein, M.D., has been a staff anesthesiologist at Shriners Hospitals for Children - Portland since 1997. He grew up in southwest Portland and attended Wilson High. His father was an anesthesiologist at Oregon Health Sciences University and William had  the unique opportunity in high school to follow his father around the operating rooms at the old Shriners Hospital off of Sandy Boulevard in Portland.

He attended OHSU Medical School and afterwards completed his anesthesia residency at U.C. Davis in Sacramento, California. He further went on to complete a pediatric anesthesia fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Children's Hospital. Prior to coming back to Portland he was a staff anesthesiologist at the Children's Hospital of Michigan for three years while his wife completed her medical specialty training. He is board certified in anesthesiology.
