Richard A. Goldberg, D.O.

Richard A. Goldberg, D.O., is a physical medicine and rehabilitation staff physician for Shriners Hospitals for Children - Philadelphia, and is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and American Osteopathic Board of Rehabilitation Medicine. He received his doctor of osteopathy degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Goldberg completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Johnson Rehabilitation Institute, John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey.

Prior to joining the team at Shriners Hospitals for Children - Philadelphia, Dr. Goldberg was the chief of rehabilitation services at Orthopaedicare, in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. He also served as team physician for several high schools in the Philadelphia area for over 25 years.

Areas of special interest to Dr. Goldberg include acute flaccid myelitis; cerebral palsy; sports medicine; musculoskeletal injuries and pain syndrome; ultrasound guided musculoskeletal injections; electrodiagnosis / EMG; and nerve conduction studies.

Dr. Goldberg is currently serving as the president of the American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and is an associate professor at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is also a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
