Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, invites the women of Las Vegas to ditch their heels for a favorite pair of flats and enjoy the tournament’s seventh annual Women’s Day Kick Off Your Heels luncheon on Tuesday, October 31, at The Hill at TPC Summerlin.

During the event, guests will enjoy exceptional views of TPC Summerlin from The Hill - a luxurious 10,000-square-foot entertainment pavilion overlooking the 16th, 17th and 18th holes - and have the opportunity to bid on silent auction items, with proceeds directly benefiting the patients of Shriners Hospitals for Children nationwide. Attendees will also enjoy a special meal prepared by Andiron Steak and Sea.

Hosted by KLAS-TV (CBS) 8 News Now anchor, Denise Valdez, the Kick Off Your Heels luncheon will welcome Patricia Mulroy, former general manager of Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA), as the keynote speaker. Mulroy served as general manager of the SNWA from 1993 until retiring in February 2014. As general manager of one of the most progressive water agencies in the country, Mulroy was very active in regional and national water issues and facilitated numerous agreements with her neighbors on the Colorado River, including international negotiations with Mexico.

Mulroy has been a resident of southern Nevada for more than three decades and currently chairs the University of Nevada, Las Vegas College of Sciences Advisory Board and serves as treasurer of the Water Research Foundation Board of Trustees. Additionally, Mulroy is on the board of the National Water Resources Association and is a member of the American Water Works Association.

The Kick Off Your Heels planning committee is made up of local Las Vegas women, including Tanya Murray, Dulcinea Rongavilla, Jen Merchant, Priscilla Drozd and Terri Maruca
