Kit Montgomery, M.D.

Kit Montgomery, M.D.

Christopher Montgomery, M.D., is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Shriners Hospitals for Children Medical Center - Lexington and is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology with subspecialty certification in pain management and pediatric anesthesiology. He remains active in both teaching and research at the UK College of Medicine, serving since 1992 as director for a senior-level course in clinical pharmacology where he has received teaching and clerkship excellence awards. He graduated from Washington and Jefferson College, then obtained both a Masters of Science in Toxicology and a medical degree with high distinction from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Montgomery completed his residency at The University of Tennessee in Knoxville and the University of Kentucky where he has remained on staff since 1989.

Areas of special interest to Dr. Montgomery include pediatric regional anesthesia and pain management.

Dr. Montgomery is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiology, Society of Pediatric Anesthesia, International Anesthesia Research Society and International Association for the Study of Pain.
